A dream. A place. A community.
When MarsaAlam Freedivers was founded, there was no dedicated freediving centre in Marsa Alam. Many saw uncertainty — we saw opportunity.
We believe this sport can inspire people, build confidence, and create a community connected by a single breath. Our vision isn't just to teach freediving — it's to build a place where people from all over the world come to learn, grow, and fall in love with the Red Sea, one breath at a time.

Good to know
Yes — life in Marsa Alam continues as normal, and the town remains one of the Red Sea's safest and most peaceful destinations, far from any areas of unrest.
Yes — water temperatures range from a minimum of 22°C in winter (Dec–Feb) to 30°C in summer, and we select each day's site based on conditions.
Not unless you have a known medical condition. You'll sign a medical statement first; anything flagged is referred to the diving doctor in Dahab for evaluation.
Marsa Alam is far more than a diving destination—it's one of the last truly untouched corners of the Red Sea, where nature still exists in its purest form. Here, the sea, the desert, and protected natural reserves come together to create an experience unlike anywhere else. Beneath the surface, you may encounter dolphins, dugongs, sea turtles, thriving coral reefs, colorful tropical fish, eagle rays, reef sharks, oceanic whitetip sharks, and, on lucky days, majestic manta rays. Explore breathtaking coral gardens, dramatic walls, underwater canyons, caves, and crystal-clear waters that make every dive or freediving session unique. Above the water, the adventure continues. Discover protected national parks, wander through peaceful mangrove forests, and experience the raw beauty of the Eastern Desert, where camels, goats, and horses still roam freely across the landscape. What makes Marsa Alam truly special is its authenticity. It's quiet, uncrowded, and wonderfully wild—a place where nature hasn't been rushed or reshaped. If you're looking for real adventure, untouched beauty, and unforgettable encounters both above and below the surface, Marsa Alam is exactly where you belong.
